New Things Are Happening!

It has been quite a long time since I have posted here on this blog, but it's not for the lack of content.  I am like a duck these days.  It may look like I'm gliding through the water all calm and collected-like, but beneath the surface my little legs are going a mile a minute!

One of the main reasons is because BIG changes are coming to Channone Sheller Photography!  The process has been unfolding and hopefully soon I will have a brand new website to unveil to you all. 

For now, I leave you with a portrait of the OTHER thing that keeps me really, really, super busy. :)

Be sure to check back here frequently over the next few weeks - I promise that by the end of September I will have the new site up and running, and I may just have a nice little fall promotional too!

Mini Baby Bump = Mini session; Marcie + Hector are expecting!

This mother-to-be is one of my oldest and dearest friends.  I say oldest because we've known each other since elementary school. Sadly, she is always younger than me, as our birthdays are six months apart. She is also "younger" in that this is her first time being pregnant and in August she will become a first-time mom!  Her and her husband Hector are expecting a little boy, and I am so beyond excited to be able to share this mommy-hood experience with her!

Another unfortunate fact: Marcie is a Cal Poly alumni. :(   Hector and I had the privilege of attending (the best university) Fresno State.  And ever since their wedding, there has been this growing competition between the two schools (though let's face it, not much of a competition really!)  So of course this little baby is going to have a Cal Poly AND Fresno State onesie.  I did my best to make the Bulldog onesie look the cutest.  But, her cute little baby bump steals the show. What do you think?

I love the look Betsy the dog is giving her baby bump! I think she is not so sure about sharing about this little guy just yet.  I can't wait until he gets here and I can 1) learn his name, and 2) photograph his tiny little self!

Wide Open Spaces | It's senior portrait time!

Senior year!!!  It is such an exciting time! I remember the mixed feelings of my senior year of high school like it was last week.  I was happy to be "growing up" and getting out of the only town I'd ever really known.  But, I was also nervous about leaving a town and family and friends that I'd known my whole life.  The Dixie Chicks were a super popular group at the time I graduated, and I remember that I blasted the song "Wide Open Spaces" on my after-market installed CD player rattling in my junkie car as I drove all the way down to college in Southern California.  Filled with excitement of the possibilities that the next four years would bring.  

Kyle, he is in the same boat I was all those years ago.  He is getting ready to wind up senior year of prom, grad night, and graduation.  I chatted with him during our session, and I couldn't help but be a little jealous to hear the same excitement and anticipation in his voice.  Good luck Kyle, and the class of 2012!
